Wow - where has the school year gone? Girls and Boys basketball season is over - congrats to the teams, they had a great season filled with lots of opportunities to show off good sportsmanship. Track season is in full bloom and we're looking forward to our first meet on April 13th @ Sierra High School. Go Rams!

Please join us for a yummy spaghetti dinner @ $1 a plate.

After dinner there will be two areas for families to visit:

1.) Successmaker lab. While there, parents are encouraged to join their child/children in a session of reading so they can experience first hand what their student(s) participate in.

2.) The COW. No, not as in "mooooooooo" - The Computer On Wheels station will be up-and-running in the 5th grade pod area. There will be a powerpoint demonstration viewing to give parents an overview of how the COW is being used in our school. ** note: This is also a great opportunity for parents and students to read and sign the COW/Internet usage agreement. A signed contract is necessary for your student to be able to access this resource.

**Finally: Save room for dessert ! After you and your student(s) have visited the two stations (and received your attendance "stamp" from both) - that's your ticket to join us at our overwhelmingly popular CAKE WALK ! Cake walk tickets will cost 25-50 cents per ticket - and if history is any indicator, be prepared to home something y-u-m-m-y !!

Don't forget to fill out your evaluation of the evening. Completed evaluations will enter your student's name into a drawing to win free stuff (books, etc.).

*~ PAWS to read ~*

Please join us on Wednesday, October 21st. You're invited to join our annual "PAWS to Read" event from 2:45-3:30pm. Students will be pairing up with family and staff members to share/read their favorite books.

Family members are invited to take their student(s) to read in the library. There they will find an assortment of seating arrangements, amazing views, and refreshments will also be served.

Keep an eye out for our special "PAWS" four-legged friends who will be making the rounds during this annual event. They make awesome listeners and are always eager to play audience to our enthusiastic readers.
